SLO Nuke

John Upton reports on the relicensing process for California's Diablo Canyon nuclear plant. Situated three hundred yards from a seismic fault, the plant's safety cannot be estimated without further study, something PG&E is at odds with California oversight agencies and potentially the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission itself. In hindsight, the former governor's veto of these studies may come back to haunt PG&E, perhaps even derailing the future of nuclear power in the state.
